Tech Helps Program Continues to Offer Free Chromebooks and Digital Literacy Training
Southwest Human Resource Agency is offering a computer literacy program designed to help seniors and disabled adults gain valuable technology skills while providing eligible first-time participants with a free Chromebook.
The Tech Helps program is available to seniors ages 60 and older, as well as disabled adults. The program provides first-time participants with a free Chromebook and 15 hours of classroom training.
The Digital Literacy Chromebook Class is designed to help participants become more comfortable using computers and navigating common online tools. Portions of the training will cover Google, Google Play, connecting to Wi-Fi and cybersecurity.
Classes will be held in the county where each participant resides, making the training more accessible to individuals throughout the Southwest Human Resource Agency service area.
