Bolivar Academy of Cycling Celebrates Earth Day with Community Ride

The Bolivar Academy of Cycling (BAC) held a community bike ride and walk on Saturday, April 22, 2023, with a program that helps riders learn new skills and develop confidence. The group met at Bolivar City Park and rode over two miles around Bolivar before returning to the park for refreshments and a ribbon cutting.

Junior cyclist Joshua Davis, pictured with BAC instructor Cornell Falls, won a new bike at the event.

Cornell Falls, BAC instructor, recently completed his League Cycling Instructor certification with Bike League of America. The instructor’s goal is to help people feel more secure about riding by educating cyclists and motorists and to ensure that people on bikes know how to ride safely and legally.

The Hardeman County Chamber of Commerce celebrated with a ribbon cutting at the event.
