Hardeman County Master Gardener Class Registration Now Open for 2027

Do you enjoy gardening, learning about plants, and giving back to your community? The UT/TSU Extension Office in Hardeman County is inviting residents to register for the 2027 Master Gardener Class.

The Master Gardener program provides an opportunity for individuals to expand their knowledge of horticulture while sharing that knowledge with others through community service and educational projects. Participants learn about gardening and plant care while connecting with others who share an interest in making Hardeman County a more beautiful place to live.

The 2027 class will meet at the UT/TSU Extension Office, located at 210 Vildo Road in Bolivar, on Tuesdays from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. Classes begin February 2 and continue through April 27. An additional Saturday session is scheduled for March 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The registration fee is $175 for an individual or $200 for a couple. The deadline to register is December 18, 2026.

To become a certified Master Gardener, participants must complete the training class, contribute a minimum of 40 volunteer service hours through the program, and complete eight hours of continuing education outside of class. After certification, members must complete at least 25 volunteer service hours and eight continuing education hours annually to maintain their certification and membership in the Hardeman County Master Gardener Association.

Master Gardeners support their communities through volunteer projects, educational activities, and other opportunities to share their gardening knowledge. The program is an excellent way for gardening enthusiasts to continue learning while making a positive difference in their community.

Whether you are an experienced gardener or someone who simply wants to learn more about plants, the Master Gardener program offers an opportunity to grow your knowledge and serve others.
