Nashville Author and Illustrator Eric Nyamor Visits Whiteville Elementary School
Nashville author and illustrator Eric Nyamor visited with students at Whiteville Elementary on Thursday, December 14, 2023. He shared his story and some art with the students.
Mr. Nyamor wrote, illustrated, and self-published an inspiring children’s book, I Can Draw, about a young man’s journey as an illustrator from kindergarten to his adulthood.
“We appreciate him for coming to WES and reading his book, his activities, and speaking with our students,” said assistant principal Bethany Miller.
Eric has been a freelance illustrator for over 10 years. He has designed illustrations for children’s books, album covers, and family portraits. Eric is inspired by anime and comic book culture. He loves doing fan art and funny illustrations of his favorite characters.
Nyamor’s visit was on the school’s fourth day of its 5 Days of Christmas celebration week – Long Winter’s Nap. The students were permitted to wear Christmas pajamas for the occasion.
