Amy Bechtol (center) presents a certificate to Pastor William D. Young and First Lady Kymberlee Young.

On Sunday, August 20, 2023, Campbell Chapel Church became certified as a recovery congregation by the State of Tennessee. The church is now equipped to help those who are struggling with grief, alcohol and drug abuse, and mental illness. It is the first church in the county to reach this milestone. Amy Bechtol, who is the Faith Based Community Coordinator for West Tennessee, presented a certificate to the congregation recognizing this achievement.

Campbell Chapel Church is ready and willing to help anyone who suffers from these illnesses and looks forward to being of service to our community. For more information, please reach out to Pastor William D. Young at (731) 609-5761.

The Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services is actively engaging faith communities and organizations as a means of increasing outreach, educational activities, access, and visibility to people seeking substance abuse services.
