Commissioner Jenkins Holds Community Town Hall Meeting

Hardeman County Commissioner Joseph Jenkins held a Community Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Jones Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Grand Junction. The purpose of the meeting was to give residents a time to learn more about what is happening in the community. Elected officials that were present to share updates included Grand Junction Mayor Curtis Lane, Hardeman County Trustee Sandy Hammons, Circuit Court Clerk Eunice Gudger, School Board member Beverly Bodiford, Whiteville Mayor Gene Bowden, and Hardeman County Mayor Todd Pulse. Other guest speakers discussed Medicare benefits, USDA Farmers Financial Assistance Program Discrimination, and Pastor Rita Jones shared information on the Pastor Fellowship Program: Bringing the Community Together.

Hardeman County Commissioners Chandra Lake and Cory Bufford held the first town hall meeting of 2023 in February at the Whiteville Community Center. Commissioner Bethany Miller has held two Town Hall Meetings, with the most recent being in August at Carriage House Coffee in Bolivar.
