Early Voting Begins Friday

Early voting will run July 15 – 30 ahead of Election Day, which is August 4, 2022. The ballot with be for the Hardeman County General, the City of Whiteville Municipal, and the State and Federal Primary Election.

In the Hardeman County General election, you can expect to see choices for circuit court judge, chancellor, district attorney general, public defender, county mayor, county commissioner, county trustee, general sessions judge, sheriff, circuit court clerk, county clerk, register of deeds, road superintendent, road supervisor, and school board positions. The State and Federal Primary will have choices for governor, United States House of Representatives, Tennessee House of Representatives, State Executive Committee, and judicial retention.

If you live in the city limits of Whiteville, you will also have the choice of voting for three alderman positions.

Before heading to the polls, you may want to print a copy of the sample ballot and make sure you bring what is needed to cast your vote. You will need to bring a federal or state issued photo ID. A current driver’s license, handgun permit, or passport may also be used.

The early voting hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The only early voting location in the county is the Hardeman County Election Commission at 106 South Porter Street, Bolivar 38008.
