Extension Employee Spotlight: Mary Goertz

During Extension Month, we are proud to recognize the dedicated staff who help serve and strengthen our community. This week’s Employee Spotlight highlights Mary Goertz, who serves as a TSU Administrative Support Aide II in Hardeman County.
Mary has been a part of the Extension team for nine years, playing an essential role in supporting daily office operations and assisting community members who visit or call the office. Her friendly personality and willingness to help make her a welcoming face for all who walk through the doors.
A longtime supporter of the community, Mary says her favorite part of Hardeman County is the close-knit, small-town atmosphere. She enjoys the connections built through her work and the opportunity to interact with new people each day.
Mary also wants the public to know that Extension offers a wide variety of classes and workshops that many may not realize are available. These programs provide valuable, research-based information designed to benefit individuals, families, and the community as a whole.
Her favorite part of working with Extension is simple but meaningful—greeting new people every day and helping them connect with resources that can make a difference in their lives.
Mary’s dedication and positive attitude continue to make her an important part of the Extension office and the community she serves.
