With the long weeks of summer ahead, many parents may be worrying about how to entertain the kids over summer break. We have compiled a list of some free or cheap things to do in Hardeman County this summer to help.

1. Visit the National Bird Dog Museum in Grand Junction – The National Bird Dog Museum is a repository of art, photography, memorabilia, and information relating to a variety of pointing dog and retriever breeds, hunting, field trial activities, and shooting sports over the past 100 years. {read more here}

3. Join the Summer Reading Program and weekly events at your local library!

9. Join the Kids Serve Summer Challenge – Tennessee First Lady Maria Lee has announced the fifth annual Tennessee Kids Serve Summer Challenge, which encourages students from across the state to get involved in their communities by serving others throughout their summer break. {read more and sign up here}
