Grand Junction Mayor Curtis Lane Honored as Hardeman County’s Longest-Serving Mayor
Grand Junction Mayor Curtis Lane was recognized and honored during the city’s November 2, 2026, board meeting, with City Hall packed with citizens and friends gathered to celebrate his years of public service.
Hardeman County Mayor Todd Pulse presented Lane with a proclamation recognizing him as the longest-serving mayor in Hardeman County and honoring his contributions to Grand Junction and the county.
Lane’s municipal service spans 26 years, including two years as an alderman, four years as vice mayor and 20 years as mayor. Elected to five mayoral terms, he has presided over 240 meetings, excluding special-called meetings, according to the proclamation.
The proclamation commends Lane for serving Grand Junction and Hardeman County with integrity and dedication, noting that his leadership and contributions have made a lasting impact on the community and will remain part of the city’s history.
Issued by Pulse on behalf of himself and the Hardeman County Board of Commissioners, the proclamation honors Lane for a “Life of Service” and expresses appreciation for his commitment to the residents he represents.
The packed meeting provided an opportunity for citizens and friends to join state, county, and city leaders in recognizing Lane’s decades of service to Grand Junction.
Mayor Curtis Lane decided not to seek reelection for another term. A new Grand Junction mayor will be elected in the November 3, 2026, election.
