Even though many Hardeman Countians were disappointed to learn the time capsule had been exhumed privately before the anticipated date, the Bicentennial Committee was equally disappointed when it lifted the lid and discovered the time capsule’s highly anticipated contents floating in water and silt. { read article }

Eleven contestants came out to compete in the annual Hardeman County Arts Council’s (HCAC) Hardeman’s Got Talent competition to show audience members why they should be chosen as the best talent in the county. { read article }

Silerton Celebrates a Centennial of Memories
The community of Silerton gathered on Saturday, October 7, 2023, to mark the centennial of the Town. A reflection of 100 years, from 1923 – 2023, was celebrated with a program, music, antique displays, and the traditional cake walk. { read article }

Line Dance and Fitness Class will be held at the Bolivar Municipal Center, 211 North Washington Street, Bolivar, 38008, on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 5 p.m. (advanced class) and 6 p.m. (beginner class), and on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 5 p.m. (advanced class).
