Hardeman County to Mark 25th Anniversary of 9/11 with Two Remembrance Ceremonies
Hardeman County residents will have two opportunities to come together to remember and honor the lives lost in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks as the community marks the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
The Bolivar Fire Rescue Department will host a Patriot Day Remembrance Ceremony on Friday, September 11, at 9 a.m. at the Bolivar Fire Department, located at 210 W. Jackson Street in Bolivar.
The public is invited to attend the solemn ceremony of remembrance and reflection. The event will commemorate 25 years since the attacks with the message, “We Remember. We Honor. We will never forget.”
The following day, another community remembrance will be held at the Hardeman County Courthouse on Saturday, September 12, at 1 p.m.
The public is also invited to attend the courthouse event as Hardeman County gathers to remember the 25th anniversary of September 11.
The two ceremonies provide opportunities for residents to pause and remember those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, while honoring the significance of a day that remains an important part of American history.
The Bolivar Fire Rescue Department ceremony begins at 9 a.m. Friday, September 11, and the Hardeman County Courthouse remembrance begins at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 12. Both events are open to the public.
