Sen. Page Walley named one of Tennessee’s most effective legislators

State Senator Page Walley (R-Bolivar) has been recognized as one of the most effective Tennessee Senators in a new analysis released by the Center for Effective Lawmaking. The organization evaluates lawmakers based on their ability to successfully advance legislation through the legislative process and enact meaningful policy changes.

“I am honored to be recognized among Tennessee’s most effective lawmakers,” said Walley. “Throughout my time in the Senate, I have focused on advancing practical solutions that strengthen families, improve healthcare outcomes, support Tennessee’s agricultural and forestry industries, address road funding and maintenance needs, and improve infrastructure and economic development opportunities in our rural communities. I remain committed to serving the people of Senate District 26 and working to improve the quality of life for Tennesseans across our state.”

The report, which evaluated members of the 113th Tennessee General Assembly (2023-2024), ranked Walley among top Senators for legislative effectiveness. The Center for Effective Lawmaking, a joint initiative of Vanderbilt University and the University of Virginia, measures lawmakers based on the number of bills they sponsor, the significance of those proposals, and how successfully they advance through the legislative process and become law.

Throughout his legislative career, Walley has worked to strengthen Tennessee families and communities through practical, results-driven policy. His efforts have included improving healthcare access, supporting agriculture and forestry, investing in infrastructure, and promoting economic development in rural areas of the state.
