EMS Lawsuit to Cost County $430k+ While Larger Sheriff Lawsuit Still Looms

In the case, which was filed in March 2020, the Plaintiffs (employees of Hardeman County Ambulance Service) alleged they were improperly paid for overtime and suffered retaliation from previous Hardeman County Mayor Jimmy Sain for filing the suit. { read article }

Hardeman County Democrats Elect Selectors at Convention

The Hardeman County Democrats held a county convention on Saturday, March 16, 2024, to elect eight selectors, four men and four women, who will attend the Congressional District 8 convention that will be held in Jackson, Tennessee in April. There were about 20 people who attended the convention that was held at the Whiteville Community Center. { read article }

School Board Recognizes Spelling Bee Winners

Shontavious Robertson, a sixth-grade student from Bolivar Middle School was the “last young man standing” spelling the word “equinox” to take the first-place trophy win. { read article }

The WAY: Resurrection Day Returns This Easter, New Location and More Hardeman County Churches Join Effort

Spring Carnival Brings Rides, Food, and Fun to the AgriBusiness Center, Fairgrounds

A Ferris wheel, merry-go-round, Jalopy Junction, the Funny Farm, and of course funnel cakes are just some of the sights visitors saw when they came out to the Spring Carnival that is being held at the Hardeman County AgriBusiness Center in Bolivar. { read article }

The Bolivar Downtown Development Corporation (DEVCO) will meet in the community room at Bolivar City Hall, 211 North Washington Street, 38008 in Bolivar on Monday, March 25, 2024, at 5 p.m.

Town of Silerton will meet at Town Hall, 30635 Highway 125 North, 38340 in Silerton on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 6 p.m.
